Open Performing Group (OPG)

ARC School of Ballet - Open Performing Group

Open Performing Group (OPG) provides adult students with rehearsal and performance opportunities in classical ballet. This group is comprised of students from the Open Ballet Class program at ARC.

No audition is required to join OPG. Rehearsals and performances take place at the ARC Dance Space.

2025 Performance Schedule

  • Rehearsals (Sundays, 2:30–4:00 PM unless otherwise noted):
    • January: 12, 19
    • February: 9, 16, 23
    • March: 9
    • March 16: 2:00-4:00pm Dress Rehearsal #1
  • Friday, March 21: 5:00pm Call to ARC; 5:15-6pm Warm-up; 6-7:30pm Dress Rehearsal #2
  • Performances:
    • Saturday, March 22, 4:00 PM (Performance #1)
    • Sunday, March 23, 4:00 PM (Performance #2)

There is a 1.5 hour rehearsal commitment for a minimum of 6 to 10 rehearsals on scheduled Sundays with a dress rehearsal prior to performances. OPG Rehearsals and performances are supplemental to regular Open class program.

We recommend students be in dance classes regularly in order to maintain technique, strength, step comprehension, and the endurance, necessary to perform choreography. It is also advised to attend the Sunday Open class prior to rehearsal.

OPG will only operate if there is a minimum number of 8-10 students registered by the first week of the first scheduled rehearsal. In the event the minimum number of students is not met, a refund (in the form of payment) will be issued to registered OPG students. Once rehearsals have begun, no refunds or registrations are accepted.

Enrollment and Fee: $375 per participant

Fee does not include costumes. No refunds will be issued with a minimum number of students registered. In the event you must withdraw from the program for any reason, there are no refunds. Fee is non-transferable and may not be used for any other programs. Missed rehearsals must be discussed with Instructor

OPEN PERFORMING GROUP

OPG performs many ballet’s from the romantic and classical era. It is helpful to have these items that are used in performances.
