Open Performing Group

ARC School of Ballet - Open Performing GroupOPEN PERFORMING GROUP (OPG) provides students with rehearsal and performance opportunities. This performing group is made up of students of the Open Class program at ARC.

There is no audition to be part of OPG. OPG rehearses and performs at the ARC Dance Space.

There are two performance opportunities throughout the year (September – August):

  • Spring Dance performance in March
  • Summer Fun Raiser in August

There is a 1.5 hour rehearsal commitment for 18 weeks on Sundays. Rehearsals and performances are supplemental to regular Open classes.

We recommend students be in dance classes regularly in order to maintain technique, strength, step comprehension, and endurance, necessary to perform choreography. It is also advised to attend the Sunday Open class prior to rehearsal.

OPG will only operate if there is a minimum of 10 Open class students registered by the first week of the first scheduled rehearsal. In the event the minimum number of students is not met, a refund will be issued to OPG students. Once rehearsals have begun, no registration is allowed.
